ARCHITECTURAL
PRACTICE EXAMINATIONS
Registration
of Architects is important in regulating the practice of
architecture. Registration ensures that the general community
can rely on the fact that people who use the description
'architect' are qualified both academically and by practical
experience to perform their professional role to the standard
which could be reasonably expected of an architect.
Under
the provision of the Architects Act, 1939, as amended, candidates
for registration are required to pass "an examination
in architectural practice" conducted by the Board.
The
examination is a composite examination conducted in three
parts broadly as follows:-
Part
1 Eligibility
Part 2 National Examination Paper
Part 3 Examination by Interview
Part
1 - Eligibility
This
is an appraisal of the Log Book and Statement of Practical
Experience.
