The Architects Act provides that the Board will consist of seven members. Four of these are to be people appointed by the Governor in Council and three are to be registered architects elected by registered architects in accordance with the regulations made by the Board. A member of the Board will be appointed for a term not exceeding three (3) years and at the expiration of a term of appointment, is eligible for reappointment. A member of the Board may not hold office for consecutive terms that exceed nine (9) years in total.

The Board meets formally each month from February to December, usually the third Wednesday. It holds occasional Special Meetings and appoints sub committees as may be required.
Meetings of the Board are attended by the Registrar.
A quorum of the Board is 4 members.
